For breathlessness/fatigue treatment referrals following the initial assessment and determining of your goals, a plan is set for treatment sessions involving some or all the following; education, equipment prescription, and practice of breath recovery techniques and/or fatigue management charting and strategies in activities that you do in your daily routine. These sessions usually take 6 to 8 weeks followed by reviews that are monthly or second monthly. The schedule usually depends on the chronicity of your illness, and as always, is determined by your goals and what you are wanting from treatment.
For functional referrals and home modification applications an initial assessment identifying your goals, equipment needs, modification applications and support service access is worked through together with the client and a list of priotities formed and started.
Yes. The use of a telehealth media allows you to receive treatment from the comfort and safety of your home. Video services are available if you have access to a computer so a link can be sent.
Let us know if your preference is for phone contact alone. It will be at the discretion of the therapist if your needs can be met this way or if a home visit needs to be booked.
