Inlifetherapy was established with a vision to help those that struggle with breathlessness and fatigue in their daily lives and can't get to an outpatient program or need more practical help and education than a brief medical review can provide.
As your therapist I can listen to your needs, problem solve and lead you through non-pharmacological approaches essential to self-management of chronic breathlessness and fatigue:
In 2020 service was extended to include home modifications to access and bathrooms to assist with independence and falls prevention at home.
The work has involved assisting many to modify their homes and through aids prescription and recommendations for service assistance keep them from having to leave their home of many years and remain in their local community.
Janine has a wealth of experience of over 30 years. Graduating from the University of Sydney in 1992 with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy, she began working primarily with the Veteran Community in Acute Surgical, Mental Health, Cardiac Rehabilitation and Pulmonary Rehabilitation before starting her own private practice, Inlifetherapy, in May 2017, specialising in breath and fatigue management for chronic pulmonary and cardiac disease.
Her passion is in assisting those within the veteran community to improve their quality of life, independence and safety at home with home modifications, seating solutions, daily living solutions, mobility equipment and falls prevention. Treatment strategies for chronic breathlessness include finding effective ways to cope, maintaining their independence at home through breath techniques, modified ways to do daily activities and equipment prescription.
Janine strives to continually provide a quality, caring and supportive service to her clients that endeavours to help them achieve their goals.
As well as being a mum to four grown children she enjoys spending time with family, gardening and spending time with her cows.
